The University Library and the University of Freiburg's IT Services are collaborating on the INF service project to develop a virtual research environment for the CRC 1015 "Otium: Boundaries, Chronotopes, Practices." This system supports researchers throughout their entire workflow and improves their communication among one another. By providing a shared digital space, the project facilitates research, analysis, and transformation processes across the CRC and streamlines the publication of results. The primary goal is to optimise collaborative workflows, using groupware and elements of social networks to strengthen the communication between CRC members.
With its integrated repository, the virtual research environment is the central hub for storing, processing, and archiving all CRC documents. This encompasses various types of source material, including primary research data generated during the scientific process and final publications.
