Cross-media means using video, audio, text and images correctly, composing them in an optimum way and being clever in how you present them. All students and academics can receive training on the journalistic principles of media communication with uniTV, uniFM (88.4 MHz) and uniONLINE. All three media are included in the online presentation: radio and TV channels struggle to exist today without a website or a social media presence. Take this training and gain key qualifications for many future career paths.

Medienkulturwissenschaft
Wer souverän mit Medien umgeht, kann sie besser erforschen. Deshalb absolvieren die Studierenden des Bachelorstudiengangs Medienkulturwissenschaft ihr Praxismodul im Medienzentrum der UB. Sie produzieren Kurzfilme, bearbeiten journalistische Themen in der Ausbildungsredaktion uniCROSS und erstellen eigene Websites. So vermitteln wir das Handwerkszeug für den Umgang mit Medien und bringen mehr Praxisbezug ins Studium.
Deutsch-Französische Journalistik
Das Frankreich-Zentrum bietet in Kooperation mit dem Centre universitaire d´enseignement du journalisme der Université de Strasbourg den Studiengang Master of Arts Deutsch-Französische Journalistik/Master professionnel du journalisme an. Bei erfolgreichem Abschluss erhalten die Studierenden das Masterzeugnis beider Universitäten.
Während des zweijährigen Masterstudiums erarbeiten die Studierenden im Medienzentrum Produktionen in den Bereichen TV, Online und Crossmedia.
Zentrum für Schlüsselqualifikationen ZfS
Sich in einer von Medien durchdrungenen Welt sicher bewegen zu können, ist eine grundlegende Kompetenz und in fast allen Berufsfeldern relevant. Studierende aller Fachrichtungen lernen in praxisorientierten Veranstaltungen im Medienzentrum das Handwerkszeug in den Bereichen Film, Radio, TV, Online und Crossmedia kennen.
Forschungskolleg „Neues Reisen – Neue Medien“
In der Gegenwart sind das Reisen und seine Darstellung auf neue und vielfache Weise medialisiert. Das Forschungkolleg will die Zirkulationen zeitgenössischer Reiseerfahrungen interdisziplinär erfassen und analysieren. Die Kollegiat*innen lernen im Medienzentrum, welche Rolle digitale und soziale Medien grundsätzlich bei der Produktion, Distribution und Rezeption aktueller Reiserepräsentationen spielen können.
