LFK Media Prize 2025: uniCROSS was awarded for outstanding journalistic achievement

uniCROSS was once again awarded the State Media Prize by the Baden-Württemberg State Media Authority LFK in Stuttgart on 12 May 2025.

The jury awarded the prize in the category Young Talent Award for trainees, apprentices and students for the TV documentary Kampf um den Dietenbachwald by the uniTV team Leonie Zwiessler and Anna Tsedik. The documentary follows the evacuation of the tree houses and the start of clearing work for the construction of a new district in Freiburg.

The jury's statement: “Atmospheric images, interesting direct quotes and diverse perspectives - a very well-crafted report. The authors tell the story in a balanced and completely neutral way, so that everyone can form their own opinion on this really exciting topic.”

Last year, uniCROSS was awarded the 2024 State Media Prize for its TV documentary Zwischen Glaube und Politik about the Pius Brotherhood.

uniCROSS was also nominated for the State Media Prize 2025 with the literary podcast Zurückgeblättert - große Texte und ihre Köpfe.

uniCROSS is the student cross-media training editorial team (TV, radio, online, social media) at the Media Centre of the University Library Freiburg.
