The Licensing and Metadata Department reviews and negotiates licence agreements with providers for the use of databases, e-books and e-journals. It procures metadata for e-book packages and arranges for their automatic import into the union catalogue. Other tasks include standardisation and committee work in the field of digital media cataloguing.
