Members of the university will find a computer pool with PC workstations on the fourth floor of the parlatory and in Reading Room 2. All PCs feature the same configuration. Users can log in with their UniAccount.
The UniAccount is the username that members of the University of Freiburg should use to log in to all central IT services.
External library users can browse the University Library’s online offerings at specific PCs, which provide access to all of the University Library’s licensed e-books, e-journals and databases. These computers can be found in the foyer and in Reading Rooms 1 and 3.
Use your University Library username to log in.
Die Rechner (Apple Mac) finden Sie im Parlatorium, 3. OG.

Photoshop (image editing)
After Effects (video animation)
InDesign (typesetting for printed products)
Illustrator (vector graphics)
Headphones are available for the editing suites so that you and other library users can work in peace.
The film studio features professional studio lighting, various backgrounds, a mobile desk and video and audio production facilities with a live vision mixer.
Please contact the media service department if you would like to use the studio. It can only be booked for university projects upon consultation with them.
The uniCROSS editorial team also use the studio, e.g. to record bands live or for TV presentations. Visit the uniTV website and check out one of the alma* TV programmes filmed in our studio.
The media centre’s broadcasting studio and production studio are the beating heart of the uniFM (88.4 MHz) student radio station. This is where broadcasts are prepared, pre-produced and transmitted live. Members of the editorial team learn how to work with the studio’s technology step by step.
Please contact the editorial manager if you would like to work at uniFM.
You can use our recording booth for professional voice recordings. A large diaphragm microphone can be used to record your text straight to the computer in the control room. We can also record film scores.
To use the recording booth, you will need a brief introduction to the technology and, ideally, a second person to control the recording.
