Usage tips

Using a laptop (recommended)

1. Collect a VGA or HDMI cable and a remote control from the information desk on the ground floor. Apple users should use a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adaptor (Thunderbolt). You will need to hand over a valuable item (e.g. your ID) in exchange.

2. Connect the monitor cable to your laptop.

3. Connect the monitor cable to the corresponding port underneath the monitor.

4. Switch on the monitor using the red button on the remote control: it will take 7 or 8 seconds and a red light on the monitor will flash (OR press the middle button on the D-pad on the back of the device).

5. Press the “Source” button on the remote control (OR the middle button on the D-pad on the back of the device, then the right button and the middle button again).

6. Use the up and down buttons to select the correct source (e.g. “PC” for a VGA connection) and confirm using the middle button between the arrows.

7. The PC will automatically be recognised as a source. If not, press Fn + F8 (function keys may vary depending on the device).

8. Once you have finished, switch off the monitor with the “Off” button.

Using a USB storage device (optional)

Please only use document types with photo, music or video content. Other file extensions (e.g. .ppp, .doc, .pdf) can only be run via the Content Manager. To display the file, you must first copy it to the screen’s internal memory.

Direct transmission of certain content

1. Collect a remote control from the information desk on the ground floor. You will need to hand over a valuable item (e.g. your ID) in exchange.

2. Use the remote control to switch on the monitor. If the screen does not react, press the “Off” button. The red standby light will flash for around 7 or 8 seconds.

3. Insert the USB stick into the empty port at the back of the screen.

4. Select “Source” on the remote control, hold it until “USB” appears and confirm with the “Enter” button.

5. Select the content type (photo, music, video) using the arrow buttons on the remote control and press “Enter”.

6. Don’t forget to remove the files once you have finished working in the Content Manager.

7. Safely remove your USB stick via “MagicInfo/Lite -> Settings”.

8. Once you have finished, switch off the monitor with the “Off” button.
